I needed paint (see bottom of the picture) for a couple of models, including my LWS, and as I still have the F-107 that I want to build as an in-service example, I decided it would be simpler and cheaper to buy an F-105 for its decals than to track down a set of decals for that … Also some Sherman wheels because I ran out of the solid type recently, and some set of ammo boxes that will no doubt come in handy at various pointsComment

Part of it was that sets of decals with F-105 markings seem to be almost impossible to find, but even if you do find them, a set might end up costing about as much as I paid for this kit in the first place and leave me with plenty more decals I’d never use because even if I would buy an F-105 kit afterward, it would come with decals anyway tooSo, this gives me both decals to use on the what-if F-107 and an F-105 to be built as well …

I've been looking at these, ever since they were released last year. The original Airfix model was changing hands at rich collectors prices & the new AZ model never seemed to dip below the £20 mark. After nearly a year of lurking on ebay, I got this..............

Just come back from a local model shop……Signal models in Midsomer Norton. It’s about 18 miles away from where I live, but there is free parking so that’s a bonus. Not a bad shop at all, good varied selection, obviously skewed towards model railways (hence the name), but worth a visit if you are out that way. I managed to snag this…..
For the upcoming spitfire group build, and another box of these….
To keep the lawn ornaments on their toes….Comment
