Losing a long time Friend of 45 years.

This morning I got a call from my longtime friend of 45 years sister that he had passed away. His name was Jeff Hill. We grew up in the same small town for years starting out as very young kids. I was a little older than him. We shared so much together growing up especially riding bicycles and Trucks. We both became Truck Drivers he had to quit around the year 2005 due to Health and Physical problems from there he just got worse. He was in a nursing home for awhile but fought his way out and got his own place. He was confined to a wheelchair but that never stopped him he would throw the wheelchair in his Dodge Diesel truck and go for a ride most of the time to come out to the farm to see me where we would talk for hours. Last night his sister called said he wasn’t doing good and his body was shutting down then he passed away around 0615 this morning. Just thought I would share this it’s rare to have a close friend for a life time. Here’s a pick of Jeff and I changing a transmission in one of my old trucks I used to own back in 1995. Jeff is the big guy in between the frame rails of the truck that’s me on the Cherry Picker.

As my dad used to say, you'll have many acquaintances in your life time but only few true friends. Sorry to hear that Lee, my condolences to all.

My thoughts go out to you and his family Lee. True friends are hard to come by and it hurts when we lose them. I consider my true friends as family.

I think that we have many 'mates' but only one or two real friends. My condolences, remember the good times and hold them in your innermost heart, life is ephemeral. In Latin 'Ave et atque' (Hail and farewell)

Andrew thanks. It’s good to have friends here to talk to.

Steve. I appreciate it yes all my memories of us and things we did through out the years is stored in my mind. It’s hard to have just one true friend and he was one in a million I don’t have another like him.

It's hard to go through losing a good friend but you have many years of memories that you built together. They will live on with you Lee. Take care my friend, Rick H.
