Our Valde (aka Jonny fartpants at the moment) is a poser! When asleep we get many "our cat is broken" pictures When awake he looks all sweet and innocent!Comment

Thank You Tim. Means a lot to hear that once in a while.
That is fine by me. The most important thing is that you have gotten it sorted so you can post photos and they are the right way up!
Your Casper looks a lot like our Valde. Big red and likes his comfort.

I have had to get a new phone, the old one fell out of suit jacket after the funeral and the cover did not do its job, its dead!
New one is a samsung A12 and yes
I have tried all the settings, no good, it also has the heif setting which is off. I give up!!
There's no point in my posting or replying to threads if this happens every time. Had enough.Comment

Which way were you holding the phone?
Which setting did you have for screen rotation?
Are you uploading directly from phone or computer?
I will see if I can help work out why it isn't workingComment

Hi Gary
Taken in both portrait and photo, tried screen rotation on and off and taken with phone upright as normal
Uploaded straight from camera??Comment

ok, i will see if I can work out why uploading from the camera does this, it makes no sense to me.
i know there is a way to lock the rotation for upload, so need to work out where it is.
After a few tests I conclude that the pictures need to be landscape , or cropped from a portrait shot, which you can do in your camera app on the phone. It appears ( to me ) that the act of cropping it adjusts whatever the problem is into something the website is happy with.
Both of these are portrait pictures , first was edited/cropped on PC and uploaded , second was cropped on the phone and uploaded.
