    Hobbycraft

Has a look in a local Hobbycraft this morning while my wife was in the shop next door, and I saw a notice that they have stopped stocking Airfix and Humbrol products. There were still some left on the shelf but I'm thinking not for long.

Same in mine all they have left is a 1/24 hellcat and all the humbrol paints have been reduced as well hopefully if I wait long enough they might reduce the hellcat as well.

I'm guessing that Hornby are taking away all their discounts, they seem to be doing it to a lot of people, I think they would rather sell direct to the end user.

My hobbycraft only had about 3 airfix kits left and a discount bin of assorted humbrol paints a long time ago, they have started stocking meng kits.

I expect they've asked for more discount and been declined.

Oh dear poor Airfix...marketing an old brand isn't the same anymore.

              Cheers,

This seems to happen on a regular basis with Hobbycraft and Airfix. Time and time again over the last eight yearsI have gone into a particular Hobbycraft where my partner lives to get Humbrol paints and the shelves are almost completely devoid of Airfix and Humbrol stuff. Go back into the same store a few weeks later and the shelves are awash with them again.
