Look at it this way Mark...
If you sell it for £150, you will only need to add about £500 to it and then you could buy that Big Scale Lancaster Bomber I've seen on here!

I have sold a few unwanted models on Ebay, and have actually found I make more money setting the starting price off at £0.99. You get a lot of interest from bargain hunters early on, and then (I assume, because I have found myself guilty) people get lost in a bidding war and a desire to win.

I agree with Pete. Always check the sold listings. That will tell you what buyers are actually paying rather than what sellers want.

Your item is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I have always listed my items at the eBay recommended price and added a reserve if there is a minimum I am willing to accept. If these sellers have what someone wants but is unwilling to pay then there is an opportunity for you to sell your item in their place at a much more realistic price for both parties.
You sell your kit for a fee you are happy with and these scalpers are left with stock they can’t shift at the prices they ask. If you sell it to someone who later relists for an inflated price then so what? They now have to find a buyer while you have their cash.
