HI SMITHY whats up with you then ? as it seems to me nearly half of the normal talkers on here are all laid up as i have also been down with back trouble but i lifted a heavy weight so my fault but im better today after layin on a hot water bottle an pain killers for a couple of daysJust seen this Dave,
.....and very sorry to hear it I am too!
I can certainly understand the "boredom" thing,it must be an absolute nightmare, and as you say,it can happen with no apparent rhyme or reason
I can only echo what the guys have said, and wish you a speedy recovery mate :smiling3:

Chris,
Ha yeah,it does seem like most of us are falling apart in one way or another lately !!
I can't grumble too much, just get a frequent twinge if I turn too sharply..... Small beer when compared to a few of the chaps currently

I've had my groceries ( and my prescription meds ) delivered since I retired - I always hated shopping for food & standing in queues! I have a food convoy from Tesco every two weeks - I start shopping about 5 days before the delivery, and I reckon I must add/change things at least half a dozen times before the order cut-off!
I've got on order started for next Tuesday, and I'll add stuff as I notice I'm running out, or decide I really fancy something. You don't impulse buy & can see offers that don't necessarily catch your eye in-store. Sounds a bit sad, I know, but I just think of all the time I would have wasted actually shopping in person

Not sad at all Dave.... Just a sensible use of time of it works for you.Rick,

First time for over a week I've managed to sleep more than four hours at a stretch, would have been more, but for the gardeners cutting the grass outside my window, with what seemed to be an unsilenced V8 lawn mower! I can walk a bit better, as long as I take it slowly & don't make any sharp turns! I managed to do the inbox review of the Bugatti Racer, so I might tentatively sit at the bench - not for finishing the M4 Mortar Carrier, but beginning assembly on the Revell Ferrari Formula 1 model...........

I've only had 2 painkillers in the last 24hrs, I don't like taking them for that reason, but at times it's unavoidable

At last the back is beginning to behave, it's now only an ache, no real pain. Now, of course I'm beginning to catch up on all that sleep I lost! - but I'm cautiously confident of getting some benchtime later today ( after an afternoon snooze! ) - probably just crank up the compressor to put a basecoat on the Ferrari..............
