    Model Master Jackson Evans

    Wasn't sure where to put this but wanted it to be seen so here seems a good bet.

    Recently bulk ordered a load of decals and name plates from Model Master Jackson Evens. Priced as is usual and website says they are getting over recent delays etc.

    Ordered on 20th March, nothing after 2 weeks. Then tried to start contacting them.
    First number no longer in use.
    Checked website and it mentions a mobile number which they can only answer in a 2 hour window as they are so busy. Obviously it doesn't even ring and the mailbox is full.

    Companies house provided even more interesting reading (see below).
    They are regularly updating their website though.

    If you're thinking about ordering from them I wouldn't. £70 lesson learnt. Hope nobody else has issues.

    Sorry to hear of your problems. In the current climate I think we are all more patient but this sounds much more. Hopefully if you paid with a credit card or with PayPal you may get your money back.

      that's bad - I've just looked at the site, and it seems that it's still active and advertising July 2022 releases. I'd be inclined to contact the relevant Trading Standards office & see if they have any information/advice...........

        That’s awful James. Model master were a well known and reliable operation back in the day. I wonder how they fell so far as to develop frankly fraudulent business practices like this? Unfortunately it’s not the only hobby company with this sort of reputation these days. There is a company with a similar business ethos in the gaming figurine field.

          I can't comment really, my experience is purely factual and what I have experienced so far but it would lead one to think that way.
          It is however very disappointing.

            So finally 3 days ago I managed to leave a voice mail! No response. Tried today and to my surprise the call was answered!
            My order is apparently bespoke as I have ordered red name plates and takes 2-3 weeks. I did point out that it's almost 6 weeks and I have tried multiple times to get in touch to no avail.
            Received a lot of information on how busy they are etc etc. Overall, an email initially telling me the situation and how it would take 6 weeks would have been fine.

            I wait to see when they actually arrive......

                So since my last post and being told it was "in the post special delivery", I have received nothing.
                Yesterday my order moved to "dispatched", though I'm not holding my breath, we shall see.

                Unfortunately my advice will remain as I won't be using again. I don't like being told things are in the post en they clearly never have been.

                I ordered full set from Fox and all arrived within 48 hours without issuse.
