To like or not to like. That was the question.

OK that went tits up quickly. Shall we try again.

I have observed and subsequently been contacted by a couple of members via PM that there has been a sudden surge in SOME members. both new, not so new and old, have been pounding away on the like button on just about every post they have seen/read. A good few of the posts years old and from people that are no longer members.
Some on posts that was just a simple "nice" from another member THREE YEARS after the event and on a dead account!

It is this kind of use of the like button I was trying to curb.

So can we all just let it lie and get on with building something.

          'Liked'
Far better the written word - or two.

I suppose the problem lies in the tons of builds flying through these pages each day, and members feel a simple 'Like' is better than just glancing at a build and moving on to the next, and so on......

Oops apologies, I'm sure I'm guilty!
There's so much good stuff old and new to enjoy I fear my screen finger gets the better of me.
            Cheers.

be nice to get back to modelling if the problem had gone away!.....seems people dont listen cos i just logged into a set of stupid waste of time 'like' notifications

serious question.......if i put people on ignore does it mean they cant see my posts? (and therefore cant 'like')..........or does it mean i cant see their posts?

Perhaps it would be a good idea if Admin. remove all six of the like, love, haha's etc. completely and forever.

                      ...and ban Christmas!

                          i think he meant 6 buttons....not 6 people lol

i have no problem with the like button.......if its used to like things!......not as a way of book marking where you have read or pushing up your 'like' tally

the last time all the buttons were removed there was an uproar......and quite rightly so i think.......they serve a purpose, when you dont have time to make a comment but still want to show appreciation

It normally means you can’t see their posts — the idea behind this kind of feature is that you’ve gotten so fed up with a person(’s posts) that you don’t want to see anything more from them.

I've just had a three year old post 'liked' I don't really see the point in that.
