Here is an excellent source of inspiration for all model and diorama builders.

    Histomil.com • Information

And one of my favourites. I like the juxtaposition of the Messerschmitt (I think it is Meyerweissflog's well known machine in which he crash landed near Manston in September 1940) and the dad's army truck. This is obviously the channel islands which JG53 used as a forward base during the BoB.

    Now if I was a dioramist........There's even a bucket!

    Cheers

              I hold my hands up!

I'm afraid it was me that started the 'Bucket' thing off....

I can't remember what prompted it, but shortly after I joined S.M, I commented that I reckoned we needed a Scale Models Forum badge, and suggested a bucket!!......Daft I know, but it stuck.

So now any dioramas or vignettes on here are supposed to, unofficially, contain a bucket!

Very childish if you ask me!!!!!

Please forgive the highjacked thread Steve.

              Cheers,

              Ron

Eeeh! No worries. A perfectly good answer to Andrew's perfectly reasonable question is what I'd call it,not a hijack.

I stuck this in Chit Chat so that people could feel free to contribute whatever they like to the discussion.

That site has photos of just about everything, including buckets!

                  Cheers

Andrew, as an alternative to making the bucket, Tamiya do a nice selection of oil drums, jerry cans and buckets in one set (Tam 35026)

I have a couple of sets of these and very nice they are too. They cost around a fiver incl. p/p

                        Cheers,

                        Ron
