    That time of the year.................

Farmer is busy trundling up and down ( or rather across ) the field at he back of my place, he's harvesting his crop of corn ( I've seen one of my neighbours clutching several cobs! ) Pity I don't like corn very much! I'll be seeing the tractor lights going backwards & forwards for a few hours yet............

The only corn grown around these parts is feed corn. Not Sweet corn. That I crow in the garden.
So far we have had the Grass seed harvet and they have just started on the Oil seed rape. Then the cereals to come. Some though have started on the cereal harvest and say its a good one.
Cereal price has already started to fall.

Most of the corn on the cob is grown here for animal feed. I tried some once and it was not like the corn on the cob we think of !:surprised:

I've never liked the stuff! My mother used to regularly try to get me to eat the Jolly Green Giant canned corn. - I never did, because my father hated it too!

Your neighbours are lucky to be able to half inch the odd husk Dave. The only thing grown around us is cows. If I swiped the odd leg I think the farmer might notice :tongue-out3:

The only thing grown in south London usually results in the growers getting raided by police!
