Excellent. It’s always cool when these things have a personal dimension.

Find the video online, copy its URL and paste it in a message on a line of its own. If the forum can embed the video, it will, and else it will show a link to the video instead,

              Congratulations! A great result, indeed.
I saw the video: I used to play it when very very young as a beach game, but I wasn't aware it could become such a fierce sport; it looks like they want to nail the birdie (had to google to find the english name of the flying thing) into the opposing team!

Thank you, Tim. Maybe a googled too fast; where I found the term "birdie" they specified it's a slang word, not the formal one... or I didn't notice I was on a wrong link, golf page , and what I supposed I was clicking wasn't the mouse... :tongue-out3:

Shuttlecock it is...apparently it is still made traditionally from natural materials like goose feathers, cork and thin leather and sometimes don't last more than two exchanges of play within a game.
When I used to play, we'd use up a cannister of shuttles in a nights play of a few games but in international sports more than two cannisters of a dozen each or more are gone in a game.

                    Cheers,
                    Richard

Thanks guys, they were a part of the team event where we finally got a gold since the game was introduced. We clinched it with 3-1 victory against the Indian team which was tipped to be the favorites to take the gold. Now it's the individual events and so far all players have gone past the first round.

                          Cheers,
                          Richard

                            That is awesome, Richard.

One of my proudest career moments to date is coming away with a CWG Bronze medal from Gold Coast four years ago with the team I was working with.
