Someone did that to a friends car outside his house, fortunately his cctv caught the whole thing. The police & insurance caught up with her, she doesn't have a licence any more......
Hope you get it all sorted Bob.

Nothing yet, will find out if the police have contacted the witnesses. My insurance needs there addresses no doubt for a written statement.

Just discovered that as well as the damage to the alloy wheel there is a tear in the bead and side wall of the tyre, so not driving the car

Some people hey. We've just returned from a couple of days away. Our room, overlooked the road on which many people parked by the sea. We watched (from the room) a woman 'touch' park her skoda estate into a Porsche. Not once, but three times. That Porsche cost about £68,000. The woman took her bag out of the boot and wondered off down the road. We popped out for a look at the Porsche, not a mark on it. Admittedly, it was the number plate she hit, but even that wasn't cracked. Maybe she's a better driver than I thought !

Used to have a woman park like there where I lived in Salisbury. She was known as the braille lady to the locals :tongue-out3:

Had a long chat with a copper today. They have spoken to the driver and the 2 witnesses. It seems she was trying to get past my car and a transit van coming the other way, she thought she may have hit the van with her wing mirror, so she pulled over to check her mirror. She said she had no idea about my car. Pull the other one, she would have know the impact noise was coming from her passenger side and not her door mirror. So no court case as not enough evidence

On the other hand, the police will be visiting her tonight and she will be getting a formal caution. Plus her insurance will rocket next year with her going on a insurance watch list, good!!

Mine is finally going in next week on a low loader as I have discovered the accident also ripped my tyre so I am refusing to drive it.

Good to hear that they're taking some action, even if it's not a full prosecution.

Hope your car is back on the road soon.

                  ATB.

The first copper who phoned at the beginning of the week was doing his best to make me drop the case but I stood my ground by asking him what if I hit his car and drove off, a lot of well and not sure, cobblers

The policewoman I spoke to today was much better and seemed to fully understand my anger. At least she will have a nice net curtain twitching visit and a nice jump in her insurance

Nor good enough really is it, the first one definitely didn't want to do any paper work . At least the police woman took more interest.
Well done Bob. Glad its getting repaired.
