    long delay "Antics-online"

    Hi everybody,

I'm from Belgium and English writing is not something I do everyday, so please don't shoot me if I make mistakes in grammar etc....

For the people who know Anticsonline; what are your experiences with this company.

I made an order by Antics online Stonehouse and this order was confirmed on date Jan 12 2004, Creditcard has been used and the money was taken off my account, but untill today I didn't receive any goods from them.

I made several emails and everytime they answer they are waiting for shipping departement to ship the goods.

This is one of the emails:

    Hi,

Your order is ready I am waiting for the packing dept to advise me of the shipping charge , I will email as soon as I have been advised

    Cheers

    Phil.

First of all let me welcome you to the forum Christ and your English is much better than Flemish

Your order is ready I am waiting for the packing dept to advise me of the shipping charge
In my job I ship products all over the world and it only take a few minutes to ring the carrier to get a price.

In the UK we have a group called Trading Standards, you have 2 options:

    1. email them again and tell them you have been in touch with trading standards and they have advised you to email one last time see if they can offer a soloution the this problem.

    or

2.email trading standards with this information and any other that you have and see what they can do for you.

here's the website you should be able to find all the information you need there, please let us know how you get on with them.

        Hi,

I'd sent another email yesterday to Antics-online, asking what's wrong with the delivery of those 5 kits ju-52 scale 1/48.

        This is the answer:

        Hi, Christ

I have emailed you on the 1st April to advise of the extra shipping charge of £37.25 but had no reply . Please advise

        Cheers

        Phil.

        To complete this story,

        1) I didn't receive any mail from them in April 1st. (Aprilfool?), this looks as an excuse wich make no sense to me.

        2) The shipping cost is £37.25 to send these kits to Belgium, this is way to high in my opinion!

Does someone has any idea what the real costs are for sending 5 such kits to Belgium?

On the site they even talk about no shipping costs a certain amount of goods.

Please any reply or critics or help will be very much appriciate,

        Best Regards,

        Christ.

to be honest m8 , seems like there`s crossed lines somewhere. have you tried phoning them , since money has been taken from your credit card.

whenever i`ve ordered kits i order them from japan, and the postage has never come anywhere near what they have quoted.

could always try www.hlj.com (hobby link japan) i have heard no complaints about them and my dealings have been uneventful

Have a look here http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/c...mediaId=400347 you havn't said what the weight is but the maximum price for airmail is £37.22 for a 2000g package

Seen that you have paid by credit card get intouch with your credit card company, explain the situation to them maybe they will refund your money then they will chase antics for there money

              Mail costs.

Christ,I recently sent a very large consignment of kits across the pond via Airmail and they only cost $33 the costs that your supplier has quoted for a few kits does seem extreme, you really need to get your money back on this one,ask him to do a refund as you are not happy with the quote for postage,it just seems very high.

                Hi everybody,

Thanks to all who took the time to answer my question.

The kits are at my place now, but only because a colleague made a hollidaytrip to the UK.

I explain: for al orders above £25.00 the shipping in the UK is free, so I'll asked them (antics) to send the kits to the last place where my colleague would stay and he brought the kits to Belgium for me.

Result: "zero" shipping cost. * well, a good bottle o wine ;o) *

I'm lucky to know people in the UK, from the "PANCLAN" (Pan-European motorbike riders association in the UK) and I may use their adresses to send the kits, after that these kits are still not in Belgium, but I'll collect them when I go to the UK or if one of them comes to Belgium.

In the mean time I'll be able to buy if I see any nice "special offers".

I must say after a phone-call from one of my friends in the Uk, things went fast and the General Manager apologised for the delay, saying they had troubles with the computersystem and also with finding a reasonable priced shipper abroad.

I'll think they tried, but I didn't rise to the bait ;o)

So if anybody knows a reasonable priced shipper from the UK towards abroad, please just let me know.

                Thanks for reading,

                Regards,

                Christ

i had a slight delay with this company on ordering some spares for my nephews r/c owing to one part not being in stock, they had charged my card for the full amount on initial order, i waited a month before sending an e-mail to remind them that I was still owed goods for which I had already paid for and the postage too, package was on my doorstep next morning so I can't really complain.

                      Regards.......Mark
