    Archer Fine Transfers closing

I found this in my e-mail this morning:

So I guess if you want any Archer transfers for something you’re building, or intending to build, get them before they’re gone …

Indeed. Only had to use them once but was very pleased with how they worked.

Understandable but a shame none the less. Cat rescue - certainly a change of direction!

I’m a little ambivalent towards them. I have several sets of their dry transfers, but the markings on at least one don’t want to come off at all. After I mentioned this on a forum, somebody then sent me some from his same set to use instead of the markings I had ruined trying to get them onto the model, and those also didn’t work. But other sets are absolutely fine and come off the sheets very well. No idea what was going on there, but it’s made me a little wary of using them for markings that there are no spares for on the sheet.

I have used a lot of their sets and still have some in the draw. It is a great pity that he has called it a day, but wish him all the best for future.

Had nothing but fine results with the Archer products I have used.......most recent use was the Chopper GB we just finished.

That's two named suppliers that are finishing and both it seems with age being one of the reasons . Pity even though I've not used any personally, but I know Steve did .
