I’ve prepped and assembled plastic and metal wargames figures and plastic kit parts while on holiday, using files, scalpels and Emery paper, but never taken paint and brushes with me. More power to your elbow…… -

30+ years ago, I used to go on holiday with my parents in a camper van. I always took basic modelling tools and a kit to build with me (and usually bought at least one that I found over in foreign lands but had never seen back home).Comment

I usually take sone sculpting stuff - usually a few tools and some putty to work on s head or two. Tina takes some sewing or needlework a well.
i read a few years ago that Rod Stewart used to make buildings for his model railway while on tour; he apparently he often used to book an extra room just for his modelling when not on stsge!
