I've some room to display in the cave, others unfortunately get boxed up and go into the attic.

I’m been facing the same dilemma of what to do with them too. I’ve got a display cabinet but it’s now reaching capacity.
I have a nephew who am going to give some to and probably bin a few of the lesser ones to make room for new stuff.

        Geoff.

          Interesting responses everyone. Thanks.

I agree that the making is the fun part so having them in display isn't as important but some of the models I've seen made since during this site seem way too good to be boxed up and stored away. But I guess that's life and I'll be there one day.

As for binning models, I could do this. I have binned one I made a complete mess of and never completed but I'd struggle to bin a complete one. Then again, I guess my daughters or someone else will do that one day when I'm gone.

For now I'm going to search tor more storage space.

If anyone knows where I can get a decent wall cabinet that is at least 8 inches deep I’d be very interested :tongue-out3:
The shallow ones I have don’t hold tank or aircraft models, just figures……the just aren’t deep enough.

Looked at those, but they are too thick around the door edges, making them dark inside.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no…..pretty rural here. I keep a camping stove in the garage to cope with power outages LOL……

Seriously, I don’t like the thick door edges, they stop you seeing the contents…..

                      Id love a bigger/deeper version of this…

Are any shops near you being refitted Tim? Cabinets like that probably go in the skip. A local estate agent moved offices, and gave away all their furniture and fittings on Facebook.

Don‘t know about shops near me that are refitting Pete, there are hardly any shops near me at all :tongue-out3: I do keep my eye on faceaches for sale section, but not seen anything yet. I did see an absolutely superb display case the other day in an antique shop. It was an old Britains toy soldiers display unit….baize lined, good number of shelves, excelllent detailing, probably from the fifties…..trouble is, it wasn’t for sale:tears-of-joy:

You can hang these on the wall, they do a hanging rail seperately.
                              IKEA thing.

Thanks Karl. I may just swap out the two short ikea floor based Billy bookcases I have for full height glazed ones…I already have one and find it very good. Extra shelves are easy to source as well. Should have bought two more instead of the extra short book case I got when I did the room out originally really :tears-of-joy: .
