In the time frame that tractor is from tractors that only run on dirt, had metal wheels with metal tread plates. The traffic tractor referred to it having as you wrote, number plates and lights but more importantly rubber tyres!

I once heard of a park ranger who yelled at some cavorting children to "get off my earth!"

Saw this in the latest edition of the MAFVA magazine 'Tankette'. Something different from the usual runs of Tigers and StuGs and for some reason I have always liked post war Japanese tanks.

They're a new company but apparently their first two kits have been "excellent". It comes with "Workable tracks and first class detail....".

According to the blurb on the Hobby Link Japan website:

This model kit from Hobby Japan is a completely new mold! It's equipped with a variable-height gimmick (even after assembly); three types of waterproof canvas parts are included, and the elegant and depression angle of the main gun can be selected. The rear hatch can also be built opened or closed (the interior is fully reproduced too). Items such as articulated tracks, hooks, antenna guards and more are exclusively designed for casting in plastic, and clear parts are used for the periscope, light lens and more.

There is though apparently no UK importer but it can be ordered from Japan....cost as of today c. £45.

Could find any in-depth reviews after a quick look but it looks like about 2/3 of the sprues are devoted to the tracks.......:anguished::cold-sweat::crying:
