In 1956 the Fairey Delta 2 raised the world air speed record to 1,132 mph ( by over 310 mph ). It was the first aircraft to exceed 1000 mph in level flight! Only 2 were made, purely as experimental aircraft - it was the last aircraft produced by Fairey = both examples still survive, one at Yeovilton, the other at Cosford

Those Hesco units from Gecko look good.AA and Meng do some but not the taller ones.A good Camp Bastion setting, perhaps with the Meng Husky.

Another Tempo iteration? - I wondered how much these things cost - I think you may be shocked!

1:16, though … If it was 1:35 it would go on my shopping list — I know Academy has one, but I’ll become a fan of Academy kits when they stop making models that get basic things wrong.

                    Yep it does,
Did a 1/35 one about 18 months ago, they're  SMALL so a 1/16 does make sense.... also, the interior is a great touch, because if you want the doors open it's quite a cavernous space if bare.

Painting those camo uniforms looks like it could be a bit troubling!

It's not that hard really. Oak leaf/Dot 44 can be a very relaxing way of painting
