Well, Zvezda do a respectable 'B', and AFV Club do the 'C', so ICM have gone for the one that hasn't been catered for!

Just looked in on the modeling news web page who's up for a DUKW in 1/35th ,from I love kits. Should think it'll build into quite a beast. Dave

So I'll definitely be up for this... Price depending of course :smiling3:

Scale models, model reviews, tamiya, 1/32, 1/48th , aircraft modelling, model building, tank model, car model, figure model, 1/72nd scale, star wars,

I wanted to make some comments about it based on the photos there, but that stupid site doesn’t like adblockers, it seems, so it just gives me a white nag page — the funny thing is that I don’t have an adblocker I can disable on the iPad I’m using now, but I can access the site on my computer on which I do deliberately run an adblocker

If I remember correctly the modeling news web page was advertising free but what ever the reason took on the advertising to be able to continue ,along with our own Mr Wards continual contributions i find it a excellent place to find out whats coming in the future plus there are some outstanding SBS builds featured on there.

That was the photo I mainly wanted to post so I could point out the rectangular holes in the ribs on the sides. Those are a post-war feature, for drainage, so technically this kit is not correct for what most people will portray it as

Mainly in the Pacific, AFAIK. I don’t recall photos of any in Europe, but I’m not exactly an expert on the subject. Though I will end up building one eventually, for local history reasons:

If you remember the wrecked Sd.Kfz. 7 I built last year, this is the same square that that one was in, approximately where the gap is in the rearmost row of DUKWs in the photo above

Noticeable that some vehicles have wheel covers, others don't - just wear and tear, or a real reason?
