Good news. I will probably buy one. I've ordered one. I restored a broken (and expensive) one about 12 years ago:

A tip for anybody building one of these, the outrigger wheels are very delicate and are prone to breaking off. My solution was to glue a thick disc of plastic on the underside that raised all outriggers off the ground.

Very good friend of mine was a pilot on the RN's Hovercraft Trials unit at Lee on Solent and took the craft out to Hong Kong too. Remember them bouncing around the Mulberry in Portland harbour attempting to turn to line up with the slip way on the Air Station.

There were traffic lights on the waterfront road at Lee-On-Solent to allow the hovercraft to cross from RNAS Daedalus onto the sea - I was at college in Warsash, just up the Solent from Lee & used to visit several hostelries there..........

Remember the lights. Used to transit from Deadloss to Seafield Park for various courses. One of the pilots from a hovercraft was shot in the Solent. Evidently stray round from the firing range at Browndown. That generated into a real life 'Mayday' call from the hovercraft.
Strange how we never really took up the hovercraft considering it was a British invention. Yet the USA and Russia use them. (Militarily).

Length 253mm so it'll be quite an imposing model. I'll be interested to see how they've moulded the wheels with the spokes terminating on the outside edge of the rim.

My guess is two side pieces that go around a central ring.

Yeah, that makes sense Jakko, but with the rear rim being quite wide, any seam is going to be tricky to hide.

I wonder what state the moulds are in for that SR-N1? As far as I can tell from Scalemates, the last new tool was back in 1960!
