That bust is testament to just how far 3D printing has come, in what seems a very short time.

Yep, the 10th SpecOps dog handler - you can see print lines if you look hard enough, under a layer of paint they disappear.

I am a plastic addict.....I am an addict.......I must accept responsibility for my actions.......I must not blame others.......

I must not blame AlanG for subliminally encouraging me to buy larger scale wingy things.....i am responsible for my own actions.....I must accept responsibility!!!

But wait......Andy The Smythe Meister has also been dabbling in 1/48 wingy things....has Alan got to him too!?!?!? :smiling5:

Ok, so now I have got that out of my system, I managed to win both these with eBay bids a week or two ago, a few days apart. The bids were so last-second I had no idea if the bid had even been accepted until I won!!

It turned out both were from the same supplier and so I am in negotiations with the seller about getting some of the P&P refunded, given that the items were sent together - they have in principal accepted my request.

If I get my way on the P&P the Weekend Spit will have cost me £15.50....which will be the cheapest recent eBay purchase for this kit and a bit cheaper than most other Weekend editions I have found.

The ProfiPack 109 will be only have cost me £20 I get the postage discount I'm asking for.... so very pleased with that.

This brings my number of 1/48 wingy things to five....a 'short nosed' 109, the below 'long nosed' version, a Fw109 and two Spits.

I hadn't intended to get a second Spit but had thought about a plane with an all metal finish.....so had thought about get a Mustang or something similar. Then this Spit popped up.

It will also be my first post-war build as and when I get to it, as this plane in this scheme is apparently from some sort of air race in 1949.

              ATB.

              Andrew

Just had to have a look at that, the box art was the colour if liked but the five colour profiles are the same apart from a few markings.

I saw the first photo and thought, “I recognise that face, it’s some actor whose name I don’t remember” but you know, that’s just like, uh, my opinion …

A quick read would suggest the white was a myth.
