Thank you .. i am struggling with the finer details on 1/35 figures .. particularly the eyes / eyebrows etc .. i had assumed a smaller brush .. along with a couple of pairs of glasses lol .

Slightly better with the 10/0 as opposed to the 5/0 i was using .. but it will take time and practise i guess .. water paint doesn't cover that well so i might try enamel .

Rick, I know this is way off your scale but by all accounts it's a great kit. I like that it includes 3 sets of rear springs for depicting different amounts of load sag.

Slightly concerned that there's a load of brass tubing and a jig for forming it into something. Sounds like a recipe for disaster :smiling5:

No worry Andy, I'm sure you can handle it.

I normally used them “wet”, to get paint out of difficult corners and pipework. Never had any trouble with bits being left behind in the airbrush, but maybe these modern-day ones aren’t as high-quality as my old ones so I’ll keep an eye out for loose bits

check parts of the airfix kit , one kit sent to a reviewer has short sides , not 100% molded properly.

I have checked it but I will have a closer look as I have had a few missed moulded kits in the past.

Have to agree, i only go to a zero or a 4/0 (which it isn't really - if that makes sense) and that's just for pupils. The tip of a brush that small (50/0) will be bigger than itself due to the paint on it :rolling:

I find I can relatively easily do eyeballs on 28mm figures with a quality size 1 brush. It’s the sharpness of the tip rather than the size of the brush that counts……mind you, I don’t put much detail in at that scale
Worth remembering that not all brush sizes are the same. My best brush size one Raphael’s have bristles about three times the length of those my workhorse Rosemary and Co size ones…..approximately number six on the OP brush picture…..
Stopping now….not the right place for this!

My experience is that painting things like eyeballs, irises etc. is more a function of skill, steady hands and fineness of brush tip, than how thin the overall brush is. As a result of two of those three factors, I generally don‘t attempt to paint eyes at all anymore

Not very exciting but the final of the four storage boxes I ordered to reorganise my paints and modelling supplies! Unusually for Amazon, it took over two weeks to be delivered!

After a short delay in customs my parcel from Kit form Services arrived today. After I had paid Danish VAT and the post office's Ransom fee. (handling fees).
