Charity shop bargain, not my slippers!
I am slowly emptying my mum's house. So been dropping off a lot of stuff to the cat charity shop we support. Simon who runs it told me they had some kits dropped off with other stuff. Some airfix which were partly started and this
Box creased, not much but complete, he suggested a £5 so I gave him £20, still a bargainComment

Well this bloke Santa never came, so stuff him so I went out onto the interweb on my own and got my own pressies, so Santa you can stuff your socks and baggy Y fronts, and I ate the mince pies and fed your milk to the stray cats and as for the carrot for Rudolf....
And to enhance it...
Etch set will be cut down to match the short late version, and the leftover slat will be used for this fellow...
To show the damaged etch - sorry Scottie, just had to get it...
Not new but a very good reference for the Canadian troops in Afghanistan.
All for a future project...
Cheers and a Happy New Year..

Ah, one of the Leopards the Dutch government sold off because they were “no use for the kind of war fought in Afghanistan” …Comment

Like Mike, I figured that if nobody would give me a Christmas present, I’d buy myself some. Did that last Saturday, but they only arrived from Belgium tonight:

The sand-coloured paint is for the Panzer IV I’m building at the moment, the Magach is to pilfer for its tracks for the next model I intend to build (don’t worry, I’ve done the research and this particular type was also, but rarely, seen with the older tracks so I will build it later with a set of those
).
The M3, finally, will be the basis of a T6 medium tank — which is to say, the Sherman’s prototype. I saw earlier tonight that a 3D-printed one of those has just been released, which worried me slightly until I looked at the image of it

I’ve got a regular 6B from the old Esci kit (well, an Italeri reissue) that I built ages ago but never did finish. For now, though, this 6B Gal kit will just be a donor of its tracks and drive sprockets to the Takom M247 Sgt. York
I intend to later build it as a 6B Gal but with T142 tracks on it, which did exist even if they seem to have been very rare.
All I’ll use of it will be the lower hull (including suspension, track etc.), the engine deck, the commander’s cupola, the head- and taillights, and a few more bits and bobs
The end goal is this:
That is to say, the T6 medium tank prototype. I’ve already got an Asuka early M4A1 upper hull (bought as a spare straight from the manufacturer) and a Panzer Art very early Sherman turret that I got for something like €7 instead of the €21 I see it costs new, so now all I need to do is put in the work to put everything together, hack it about a bit, and putty over the gaps and other things
