In search of kit or plans...

    Hi Chaps,
    A bit of a long shot this,but....
A mate of mine is wanting to build a FV 434 British tracked REME AFV with hi-ab for his dad, either scratch building parts to an existing doner variant,or completely scratch building the entire thing if he can find any type of plans.
He's built a model of everything he used in his 22 year career in the Reme from '57 -'79
ANYTHING you can suggest would be very much appreciated
    Thanks in advance,
    Andy

Not sure there is enough info here to scratch build but might be useful

                    Hi Andy,
It appears that the only choice in 1/35th is Accurate Armours FV434. It would be a great project to build one complete with penthouse.

If he wants 1:35, then his two options, really, are the Accurate Armour kit, or save about half the money to buy the Takom FV 432 but spend a lot more time converting/scratchbuilding. I think I would take option No. 1. Or maybe even combine the two, if money is not a problem, to take advantage of the probably sharper/better plastic parts compared to the now 30-year-old resin ones.
