Thing is Colin, she might look like it, but she really doesn’t. I’ve had cats that do, but not this one. She follows my wife around like a dog, talking to her all the time, and is only really happy when she’s with her Hoomans. She is also very protective of her tribe. When I had a really bad RA flare and was in a lot of pain she tried to stop my wife helping me up because she thought I was being hurt. That’s a great face though.

That's great to read Tim. My sister's cat has issues. It pretends to be really friendly, just before it claws or bites. But then still expects you to feed it.

She’s just scared and defensive mate. You need to learn to read the signs and stop petting before she gets spooked and feels threatened. Watch the eyes and ears.
Ours was a stray. Getting rescues to trust you takes a lot of time and effort. When we first got this one home she hid in a cupboard and only came out for food after dark. I used to spend ages sat in the room just reading quietly so she got used to me being there and found me unthreatening. Eventually she would come out and eat when we were there, then started to approach us. Took about six months to get her completely relaxed, but now she is totally at home and trusting around us.
