    Military dogs!

    Evening,

Question, don't ask me how or why I want to know, it's never crossed my mind before... until now!
Military dogs that go out on deployments, when they go in to the field with their handler and everyone is belted up in mastiffs, ridgebacks or whatever vehicle... how is the dog transported, in a cage strapped down, in a seat belted up, strapped to the handler, left to roam the vehicle???
Someone please answer my question... my brain hurts!

Always leashed in a deployed for action vehicle, usually at the handlers feet. Some have been seen in handlers lap when space at a premium. May be caged when in a vehicle on safe ground.

From a quick search, it’s obvious that their normal place is on the bonnet or engine deck:

@Jakko I've seen these before but thought nah... however, being American anything is possible, lol.
There is nothing I've found on the Web that suggest or shows anything?!

I couldn’t find photos of military dogs inside vehicles at all, other than ones clearly meant as a joke (three dogs in the crew positions of an FAV, for example) or just standing on/in them. None showing, say, a dog handler being carried inside a vehicle. So I thought I’d post these as a quick joke instead Talking of which, I also wanted to include this one:

… but found that very hard to do last night when I was on my iPad.

Nice shot Jakko. Why so hard posting it from an IPad though? Just copy to photos and then post as usual…..

Yes, except I found it on Pinterest, which makes it hard to link directly to it or save it in your photos, while linking to the version Google serves you also doesn’t work. On my computer, OTOH, I could just drag the image to my desktop from the Google search, then upload it here.
