Desert pink is for the early morning hours when everything goes that colour. Ie just when you come out of the haze and attack
Also, no-one would believe the REALLY saw a PINK truck

The same colour idea was used by Mountbatten on destroyers in the Med and apparently it worked really well. However, I saw a model of one of Mountbatten's ships a while back, and the builder actually said 'l don't care if it's not accurate. It looks silly in pink.' or rather 'I'm too embarrassed to be correct.'

Still don't touch it Paul ,how on earth they got away with giving it to german prisoners of war without breaking the Geneva convention remains a mystery till this day.

Marmite is gross. My wife, being Australia thinks Vegemite is better. To me, that's gross too.

Do you still have Marmite sticks in the UK. Haven't had them since the old NAAFI days.
I substitute that craving with spreading Marmite and butter on Swedish hard breads.

                        Cheers,

You cannot eliminate marmite from the world. It is too important in the fight against childhood leukaemia! An early part of the Erwinase (a biologic used to treat child leukaemia with an 80% success rate) production process involves growing bacteria in a marmite solution. We used about 27Kg at a time…..now that is a lot of toast and twiglets……..
