    My Aunty Joan was an early adopter of a Japanese knitting machine. It's instructions were equally bizarre and incomprehensible.

    Google translate is slightly better these days.

      When I first went to the USA for work back in the eighties I bought a burger and chips, which was handed over in a plastic box with a big label "WARNING! These fries may be hot"! I believe this was soon after a woman sued MacDonalds after she'd burned her delicate areas by putting a cup of hot coffee between her legs at a drive-through. A few years later I hear of a chap in the US suing Black and Decker after he lost three fingers trying to cut the top of his garden hedge with a lawn mower. The mower fell off the hedge - so he tried to catch it. :rolling:

              Not so sure about that Steve. I just bought a box set of DVDs. There are nine programmes so naturally they put two programmes on each of four DVDs with just the odd one on the fifth. You'd think they'd have them in sequence 1 + 2; 3 + 4; 5 + 6; 7 + 8; and 9 wouldn't you?

              No such luck. They've got them 1 + 4; 2 + 5; 3 + 6; 7 + 8; and 9. I suppose I can count myself lucky they didn't pair 7 + 9 and leave 8 on its own!

                    Very strange? Makes absolutely no sense.
                    Vinyl double albums (usually pop stuff) sometimes used to be like that….side one paired with side three and side two paired with side four, but at least they had good reason. You could stack them on a multi player and get side one followed by two, then flip them for three and four. The multiplayer made them sound rubbish, but at least you didn’t have to get up to change the record….

                      Also, if what you want is on a pay per view site it’s usually cheaper to buy a physical copy second hand….

                            I suspect it could be because of the file size of the different episodes, which might have made combining 1 and 2 on a single DVD impossible.
