My work station and first attempt at building for 25 years.

    Hi all,
As promised when I introduced myself a couple of weeks back here are some images of my new work area. It is at the far end of a garage conversion currently used as a spare bedroom.
The build on the Datsun proceeds afoot but not a lot to show for 24 hours work.
    Fairly pleased so far.

Any comments or suggestions gratefully received.

BTW does anybody strain/filter the paints prior to airbrushing and if so what do you use?

    Regards

    Stefan

A lovely spot to work. I'm still out in my cold draughty shed :tears-of-joy:

I rarely strain my paints but if I have an old acrylic that looks a bit suspect I run it through a little mesh tea strainer to get the worst of the lumps out.

Nice (and tidy) work space, Stefan, and a nice and tidy build too.

Looks like we have another entry for the 'tidy bench' club,
                        excellent space though..

I used to be a panelbeater and spraypainter taught by my dad who would roast me if my work areas were messy, suppose it just stuck.
Thanks for the comments, let's just see if I can stay in the tidy club.

Nice to see a fellow grafter. I've been in the trade for too long and recently opened my own bodyshop.

Doesn't leave much time for modelling but I'm trying to get back into it.

                              Andy,
You would think we would have this spraying malarkey down pat wouldn't you? The truth, at least in my case, is you have to adapt your style to suit hence me doing alot of brush painting at present.
I think you are very brave starting a bodyshop at the moment and can only wish you the very best of luck with your endeavour.
I suppose I know who to ask for paint identification going forward.
