My left hand is only used for scratching my left ear mainly.
How many of us are left handed ?

Like Andrews child and spouse I throw with my left and bat with my right. As a former spraypainter when doing trucks, planes, boats or other large panels I just transferred the gun from left to right and back again with no problems. I can do most things with either hand except write which looks like a drunk spider got in the ink pot with my left.
Last week I did some archery and both sides were fine with the bow in the left hand marginally more comfortable but clay pigeon shooting utilises my right shoulder.
Strange how different people achieve the same results from opposite sides.Comment

I do the same. It amazes some people but very handy when you just need a bit of extra wingspan or have to reach an awkward spot.Comment

I have a friend definitely a lefty but bats right handed.......I have though watched him take a right handed strung guitar, flip it over to his normal left handed position and then play for an hour with the band without batting an eyelid! Me I cannot play a guitar to save my life!Comment

Yep I'm left handed and unlike some others here I throw with the right and bat with the left - not much good at either though.
Once had a go with an SA80 and they said I could only fire it right handed - never hit anything.
Funny how left handed people always notice other left handers whether it be on telly or work, while right handers seem oblivious unless it impacts them directly like they find the mouse mat on the 'wrong' side. I used to wind my wife up by putting the whirly grater back together with the hand wheel on the left until she found out I was doing it on purpose.
The quirk in our family is that for at least the past three generations, it's always the second born child that's the leftie (and proud). :smiling2:

Forgot to say…..my daughter is a left hander, and when she started writing she used to write in perfect mirror writing……. readable when reflected in a mirror, but totally unintelligible when looked at normally. According to her school at the time that is very common,…..they lent us a very good DVD to explain it all…..Comment
