HMS Hood, RIP

Sadly today is the 82nd anniversary of the battle of the Denmark strait. As most will know HMS Hood was lost with all but 3 of her crew.

May they rest in peace

One of the survivors was serving at the training establishment HMS Ganges whilst I was there. (1967). He was a seamanship instructor. Strict I heard.
I never met him as I was FAA so never got to throw ropes about!!

My Grandfather was a crewman on HMS Hood but was no loner on Hood when she steamed out for the last time.
