Finished collection, your turn to shine.

Guys. Ive been a member of this forum for quite some time now and have enjoyed every minute of being here and though i build outside of your scale preferences i still feel part of the family. As you know just one of my projects can take up to 14 months to complete and in that time you guys churn out your masterpieces in the dozens. And that brings me to this thread. Where the hell do you keep them all. Please post some pics here of your layouts and collections, id love to see how you display these works of art and who knows... you might pinch some display ideas from each other.

    Cheers

Andy, right on and right back at ya. Really enjoy your builds and they are well worth the time you take on them! I'm jamming my builds in as best I can and where the Missus permits,if I had my way they would be hanging out all through the house lol. Nothing fancy and low tech but heres a few pics.

my apologies for the low quality pics

You certainly cram them in Trey!

I'm allowed two shelves in our front room which SWMBO treats like a Victorian parlour,we only go in there when guests arrive

I'm allowed a shelf for one model in our main living room, but I have cunningly managed to get two on it.

Our spare bed room has all sorts of stuff in it,including some odd models which are on their way to the great model store in the sky...errrr..I mean loft.

This one is sat on top of the pilots original log books (my dad's) in my "library". I'm supposed to be repairing it to send back to my Aunt.

And there's a couple on top of a wardrobe. The BoB flight is also in for repairs.

      Cheers

      Steve

You two must live in the only dust free houses I know of!

Mine are in cabinets and they still get dusty!!! I'll nab a couple of pictures later.

          Apparently its later.

Here are the hidey holes for my finished builds.

A couple of cheap IKEA display cabinets, could do with a few extra shelves but not an easy fix.

Yet another cheapo cabinet, this time from the Danish version of the Expand and fart. £30 Could get a couple of shelves extra in there but will start to cramp things up even more.

This tiny little one is in the work room, and is a sort of temporary parking until something better turns up.

Looking into building a tailor made cabinet that fits the whole wall, Being a loft room its all low walls and sloping ceiling!!!

I like to think of my gallery on here as being a kind of online display cabinet, I do however have a couple of real world cabinets in my garage where i keep my builds . every so often i might sell a few completed models on e-bay to make room for something new! I'll try and get a few pics on tomorrow, cheers tony

Well since I'm a slow builder I haven't completed many models since I returned to the hobby so they can all fit on one set of shelves for the moment

so that is reasonably neat and tidy in the lounge. This does however mean that my stash has been growing in the "study"... ahem
