    Small colour difference questions

Do you reakon I will get away with using Humbrol Aluminium instead of Silver for an F-86 Sabre? Can't source silver till next week.

I like aluminuim better than silver. Silver looks unreal to me. Vallejo silver is the devil itself to apply.

I would take a bet that most would not know the difference between the two if you tested away from each other..

If you are after a bare metal finish, try the humbrol metal coat. Once dry it can be gently buffed to a nice shine and looks rather nice. It can be brushed but I think it comes out better sprayed.

The ordinary Alu colour will give a good result and as Ole wrote, Silver paint will look just like that. Silver paint!

I'm going to go along with Ian and say Humbrol Metalcote too. I use Humbrol 27002 and it comes up very nicely. Have a look for my P-47D build to see what i mean

Yes but like any surface made to look polished (apart from canopys) it dulls it down a little. Not much but just a little
