          ROFL ..

          Bless you .

Half of my working life revolves around instructions .. i couldn't even see what was in front of me .. sigh .. old age and the glasses keep needing to be stronger is my excuse !!

But yes .. i do like a tidy bench and everything to hand .. we have to have a clean and organised environment at work , it's the German way ! .. there simply is nothing worse than hunting for something at work .. time is after all customers money ... and i'm not cheap .

Downside of placing an order .. there's always something else that catches the eye .. hence the £10 went to over £30 lol .

Understand totally Iain. You want to work on military aircraft!! Every tool has a place, it is numbered and colour coded. Before every flight, each and every tool has to be in its set location in its tool box, checked by the mechanic doing work on the aircraft and countersigned by his supervisor.
The work area has to be clean before during and after.
So I understand exactly where you're coming from. :smiling2:
I remember when they built a new hangar at Portland, the concrete floor had to be non porous so that any leak from an aircraft could be visible. (If were to be absorbed by the concrete a possible leak could be missed leading to god knows what!)
I had the misfortune to work in the same hangar after the boat building industry had ownership of it for 15 years. Shocking state, resin everywhere, shards of fibre glass lying about and every surface had about 15 years worth of dust on it.

Of course, 15 years’ worth of dust will accumulate in about 15 days if you’re sawing and sanding resin every day

                The real irony/stupidity.
Portland had an industrial size spray shop to paint aircraft.
Sunseekers erected a portable spray tent with little or no ventilation or extraction in another hangar/workplace.
Sunseekers had allowed the navies spray shop to decline to such a state it was unsafe. Totally disgusting.

That sounds to me like people moving in without looking what they actually had there, and not caring. Best to try and not be surprised at stupidity too much
