    Outlook my b*m!

Recently swapped to Outlook in Windows 11 'cos I wasn't receiving any emails at all. Now getting emails from everyone except our John at the shop. Every mail he sends me goes straight into the junk folder. I've selected the option which says 'never send this contact to the junk folder' but that's made no difference.

I tried their community "help" service but all they would tell me was how to sync gmail to my system. Really useful that - not! I told them it didn't help and got a totally useless - if nice - reply thanking me for 'reaching out' to them and hoping they'd be able to help next time!

Any ideas how I can get John's mails to go to my inbox instead of the junk folder?

Let me have a quick look at my copy of outlook

Just checked , none of shop or forum emails are going into spam

what account are you using , hotmail/outlook/google mail ?

for example , google mail will just mimic what happens within gmail web version.

Oddly enough, emails from Scale Model Shop went to my spam folder recently (not using Outlook though). They never used to. I've done the 'this is not spam' bit, I'll have to see what happens next time.

I've been using my GMail account since they first launched, through several ISP's, faultlessly. The problem comes with your Windows mail programme - I've tried several, including Outlook, Thunderbird, eM Client and all can be very patchy in their operation I useThunderbird at the moment on my PC, but read my emails on my laptop & phone with the GMail app ( don't take up much space! ) . Either way, I do check the Junk mail folder occasionally

Have you added the 'sender' mail address to your contacts, that sometimes helps.....

I’ve noticed some people aren’t getting emails from us, they are usually using yahoo or aol, it goes straight in to their spam folder, I’ve not changed anything, and checking with mail-tester.com my emails aren’t spammy, I have no idea what’s changed.

Forgot to say I'm using Yahoo, and it looks like I'm not the only one with this problem.

I'll try putting the shop address in my contacts list. It can't do any harm and maybe it will work.

My wife has a Yahoo email account and I've washed my hands of it. Changed settings and somehow the next time she uses it the old settings are back. Anything important she uses my email addy to ensure a reply.

If you read the statements from users on downdetector you will see this is an ongoing problem with Yahoo mail.

Last tweet from Yahoo Mail was in May ........... that shows they are either all busy or no longer want to interact with their customers on Twitter
