    Airfix Ferret... curiosity question!

Guys, with the release of the Ferret, which i can't wait to get my sausage fingers on!
Airfix have given 3 decal options, my curiosity question is, can this model of Ferret be used as a Gulf war vehicle? Obviously, before anyone says it, I'd need aftermarket decals for starters!
Would it be a straight build or not?

Probably I haven’t seen the kit in the flesh, but it looks like a standard Mk. 2 at first sight. I just looked through some of my books about the 1991 Gulf War and only found two Ferrets in them: a Mk. 2 and a Mk. 1 (not even a 1/1). Both look to be fairly standard other than carrying a good deal of stowage.

Thanks Jakko, I'll have to get me one of them kits then (or 4!:flushed I can see lots of potential for the kit that's for sure!

There should be a lot you can do with it, agreed. It would be nice if it had an interior, though, because then you could easily leave off the top and build a Mk. 1 — though chances are Airfix will do one of those too, I suspect.

If they don't someone like Black Dog will no doubt step in and supply the interior?!

Or one of the many 3D-printed manufacturers, I suppose. Or Accurate Armour, as they already have a Ferret interior from their own kits that I would think they could adapt easily enough.

I wonder if Accurate Armour adapt their prices?

My model is due this week, couldn't resist as my dads mob used Ferret's and wanted to have a go at one for some time.
