    Leaving the hobby.

After thinking it over, for a while, I have finally decided to hang up the airbrush and start clearing out the workshed to re-purpose it as winter storage and summer open door relaxing.

My health has severely deteriorated this past three years or so and I am just, well, knackered. Hand, joint and muscle pain, breathing issues and now liver problems.

The rusty-crusty Compass Rose model is the last model I will make and a final tribute with it been showcased in Model Boat Mag.

I am keeping my RC tanks, for a while, but all the scenery items made for the club open days are been sold off, just cannot lug them about anymore, the guys in the club are all aged and knackered too and it is hard enough just trying to get the tent up etc.

So, I will drop in from time to time and to all the great mods, builders and of course John, thank you for putting up with me and the kind words on my builds, it has been appreciated over the years.

    Take care all.

    Si.

All the best Eddie. It’s sad you won’t be building but totally understand the reasons why. Enjoy your re-proposed space and drop by the forum when you can.
        Cheers, Paul

            Si,
sorry to hear this, ageing is a real pain, when you realise you can't do things that were easy a few years ago. Take it easy, don't be in a hurry to dispose of everything - one day you might have a burning urge to return to the bench...................

Strength isn't about what you can do, rather it's about overcoming what you thought you couldn't do.

Sorry to learn this Si. I hope that you drop by and keep joining in once in a while.
A pity when our health dictates our pass times. It's one thing not being able to work but not being able to play sucks.
