    Mr Angry

    Airbrush has thrown a wobbly!!
I was as happy as a pig in poo yesterday having finished the bulk of the spraying jobs on my Beetle, then disaster struck.
During the clean of the AB the nozzle for the 0.3 needle sheered off inside the AB when I was reassembling it. It's not as if was over tightening it, it wasn't even screwed fully in, nor was it cross threaded!! I had spent ages giving it a good clean too.
Went on YT to check how to resolve the issue, OK it's a small bit and the thread is even smaller but I figured I couldn't be the only person it happens to.
Sure enough, there was a few items on how to remove the offending thread from the now multi pieced AB nozzle. Managed to remove the threaded portion that had been stuck but in the process I must have knackered the thread on the AB. So now!! No airbrush.
Really annoyed me, however, as SWMBO stated, it didn't cost me anything and now I can start looking for another. (May even pay for one this time).

Didn't need it to be honest. Have a massive amount of building work in progress atm so my work space is clogged up with detritus from all that. Old bathroom stuff, new bathroom stuff and where does it all go? My man cave!!! There is no equality in this house!! None!!

    Back to being miserable!!

The threaded nozzle is a very fragile, tiny thing but I feel your frustration.

    You're not wrong!

Buy a new airbrush - it's nearly Christmas judging by the shelves full of tat in the local shops. Treat yourself :tongue-out3:

Ian, can I ask, was that with a cheapo AB or a more expensive model.
Reason I ask, when I go searching for a replacement, I'll be looking at sturdy rather than cheap! (if there is such a thing).

I replaced my iwata with a Badger and wasn't massively impressed.
The flow is much higher even at the same air pressure and I seem to use a lot more paint for the same effect. Also it just doesn't feel as well made in the had.
                    Highly recommend Iwata air brushes.

Same, although I have around 12 of their spray guns so I'm a little biased!

The Mr Hobby / Creos airbrushes are made by the same company that makes Iwata ones but are usually slightly lower priced.

I have 3 and would recommend them.
