I have been known to knock Royal Mail, certainly my local depot are not good. However!!! Yesterday afternoon I ordered a pair of ceramic washers for my kitchen tap. Delivery - Royal Mail. The cynic in me thought ah well. That's next weeks job!! They were dropped through the letterbox today. So both Franke and Royal Mail came good.
Lets hope My Hornby/Airfix and RM do the same for you Ron.

The same, very efficient young man at Hornby has emailed me today and informed me that the large missing sprue containing the starboard fuselage is, as I type, winging its way to me.

He politely still denies he received my previous emails and I believe him. I reckon the cock up is fair and square with that A.I. at Airfix's Customer Services. It simply never reached a human.

Somehow my last email to them arrived at Hornby instead - Yes, I know, how!

Whatever is the truth, I not bothered about pursuing it anymore. In the next few days, I'm hopefully getting the sprue!

      Cheers.

HOORAY!!! Glad it's been sorted Ron... about bloody time too!

I'll definitely be looking forward to seeing your build!

I hope you get things sorted. At least you have evidence.
That is why I always put the phone on speaker and have the digi tape recorder going, and under the law you have to tell them - scares the pants off them....

A bit of good news - I hope.

After my last email a couple of days ago, I've had a human contact me again from Hornby itself! No, I don't understand either, but I'm letting it slide - for now. As all I want is the correct sprue.

Despite me having proof, they still deny having ever received emails from me in the past. Perhaps the customer service department at Airfix is different from Hornby's, but how Hornby received my latest email, I don't know....and don't much care.

However a very helpful young man at Hornby has requested all the info. I didn't send, sent again and he will post the missing part to me asap.

I've sent all the bumph and the photo, off again, attached to his email, so I know he will receive it. Let's see what Monday brings.....

              So watch this space.....

Thanks for all your suggestions thus far. Much appreciated.

              Ron

                Yes, I know.......

What I can't understand, and am really not bothered any more, is how every single message to Airfix since September last year didn't get through to a human. Yet, out of the blue, I received an email from Hornby stating they never received any communication from me....until my last effort to Airfix somehow slipped into their 'In tray'

Good news an a happy resolution. and I can confirm that you definitely need both a port and starboard side to build this aeroplane. We definitely needed both for the larger version.

                        Yours etc.

                          Thanks Dave, Andy and Steve.

                          Dear Mr. Chadwick.
Thank you for your concern in making sure I now have the port and starboard sides of your Lancaster.
I also now have a spare port side fuselage. Which will come in very handy should I make a balls up of what I have in mind for your most iconic of aircraft.

                          Yours.
                          Sir Barnes Neville Wallis
