So few people place a proper respect on naval aviation... why only every decade or so?

Rofl, your kinda not in a minority mate...Im one of the forums true Blue water addicts, With the exception of the mk5 cheiftan kit I have to struggle to recall the last NON navy build I have attempted!
With regards the F4.... darn, this Girl has it all!!!!
Now, all we have to do is ween her away from those civil types and get her hooked on carriers and British BattleShips
and her journey to the dark (Blue) side will be complete...
Muh Ha ha ....
:knight: "this is not the kit your looking for... you can go and buy a nice F18A...move along."Comment

Weeeeel I have the Trumpeter 1/350th Hood to build, though I might wait for the earlier version (Hint Trumepter!) and a really nice JSC 1/250th Lion, a cooel cat if there ever was one!
So I'm not adverse to a bit of naval action and I do love the Graf Spee and Eugen and Deutschland and....running out of room...stop..send sheds..stop...stop...message ends.Comment

:knight:When did we ever say that clipper was nice?... guess
all the nice girls may love a sailor, but only a woman
of true fibre and moral substance knows that the way
to a mans heart lies in a 30,000 ton battlecruiser...
Been Looking for a splendid cat to build for years now!
Anyway, One must keep on target and not get to the
point where the spare room is full to over flowing with
kits that one rearly ought to get started on one day!
Now, all that remains are those six 1/96 scale sword
-fish, two corvettes and the small matter of the
Escort Carrier from deans ... arrrrrrrrrrr!!!!
:emo10: How did it come to this... I think I need two spare rooms.Comment

It's nice to know I'm not alone in having a pile of kits on the to build list!
The worst thing is scratchbuilding models too - then you can have an even larger and overwhelming list of things to build!Comment

Oh man-this would be an entire thread-too many cool box art covers! BUT, as I was explaining to my oh so patient and rational Wife-I can only compare my purchases to album art and how it was fun just to buy the LP regardless the music. Ahh, those were the days long ago...................Oh wait I'm only 37.Comment

Hi every body,
Hope these few words won't feel to serioud to you all, but lets just say I' ve got a theory about this hobby and the reason why it drives some intelligent grown-up adults through a unresonable passion taking them more time, attention and money they could resonably afford.
You see in this crasy world where avery thing seems to be out of control : Politics, wars, pollution, prices etc, an average normal person sometimes need a place where he can find peace and hope. But when you get home affter a hard day of work, you find that even your place n family is a mess. That's the moment in your life when you need to creat a world of your own, where all is Beautyfull and wright. Model makers over the world are make seeking with out nowing it, the same sanctuary.
Please excuse my weird english and remember I'm Greek.
Love and peace to all of you.Comment
