Just saw this on Scalemates:

        And it’s in plastic!

I was wondering earlier this week if I should maybe buy the one from Lanmo, but I don’t think I will now

And another one I just saw on Scalemates:

Finally a good 105 mm Sherman. Sure, Dragon had some but they’re hard to find and suffer the typical Dragon Sherman problems (inaccuracies, mainly), while Tamiya also has one but with Tamiya problems (simplifications).

I think that’s why it says German type: because the most common post-war jerrycans are of that design. But the ones with the Xs in them are, AFAIK, early-war only, so they don’t really make much sense if that really is the idea.

What a strange figure to include.

And, because for some reason Pig Models fail to mention it on the box top: from its appearance, the T1E3 mine exploder was nicknamed “Aunt Jemima” after the pancake mix. Or, at least, some of the tanks pushing them were:

I wouldn’t be surprised if that turned into a general nickname (possibly even only after the war) instead of the tanks sporting a nickname that was already established.

That Bergepanther with the Panzer IV turret was a one-off, put together by/for the unit mentioned in the illustration, which was equipped with Panzerjäger Elefant, as well as an uparmoured Porsche Tiger with Zimmerit used as a command tank, and a captured T-34 with a Flakvierling 38 instead of a turret.

I’ve had the SKP kit of the Challenger for a few years, but haven’t dared start it yet because of the ton of work it needs to correct it. I guess it will remain in its box now
