I'm gutted, I worked as a prop-maker on this series and I won't get to see it unless I sign up for Apple TV, which I don't intend to do.
Before the strikes there was talk of Crew getting a link to watch if for free, but I haven't heard a dickie bird-presumably they're not offering it now. -

I too don't have Apple TV. And I can also empathise with you on the not getting any link/access to the show when you took part. Happened to me and that was Scottish TV. Good kids utilising one of our Sea Kings and crew but when asked for a copy of the video for the chaps who took part!! Nah!!!!
I also have Paramount + and Prime which are very good, with lots of varied content but I find the amount of content on Apple, that I like, to be disproportionately high. In a little over a month I have watched rather a lot of content, Ted Lasso, For All Mankind and a lot more. I recommend trying it.Comment

Other option: if you sign up for a subscription, you get a seven-day trial period in which you can cancel without paying. So wait until the whole show is out, sign up, watch within a week, and cancel. (Or: buy an Apple device, say if you need a new phone in the near future, and watch three months for free.) (Or or: grab a torrent.)
Too bad there was nothing to indicate whether he did or not.

Heh, a little over a week ago I got a Mac Classic (I responded to an ad in the local paper where someone gave it away to a good home for free) and browsing a previous owner’s files that are still on its hard drive, I found a letter he wrote in the early 90s to a Dutch broadcasting company, asking if it would be possible for him to get a video tape of a show he took part in in 1976 :smiling3: Too bad there was nothing to indicate whether he did or not.Comment

I regularly search YT for the programme as a few of the series have appeared on YT but not the one in question. The unit wrote several letter to STV requesting a copy of the cameraman's shots but no response. Shame as there were some dramatic scenes of the SK coming towards the Heads of Ayr, first the rotor head appearing then the rest of the Sea King rising with a loverly red sun behind it. We spent all day doing whatever they asked and even put up with a so called comedians bad jokes!!!! I'll keep on looking though.
Was it an STV production, or ''for STV'' as that will alter who owns the show and who you need to request footage from?Comment

It looks really cool and I'd like to watch it but I don't have apple tv and no intentions of getting it. Maybe it'll come to another channel in the future, who knows.
although tbh I wonder how realistic/accurate it will be.Comment

Apple TV has set itself up to be the only showplace for the shows they buy/produce.Comment

I don't appreciate being railroaded into paying for something that I don't want to, therefore I shall miss this one....
... Must admit though, apart from looking quite good visually, I'm not sure if it'll give a true representation of the all round air war...
... Just my thoughts obviouslyComment

it seem fair enough to me. Making this series must have been a significant investment for them so, of course, they will use it to attract viewers to their platform. This is not exactly unusual neither is it unfair.Comment
