Hi all,
Just a quick update - Chemo finished end of June, I thought give it a week (like the flu) and would be back to normal, errr no it can 2 months of recovery per month of cancer so that would be about a year for me !, Its been harder with fatigue post chemo than it was during it.
Managed to make it to fairford in July, my son and nephew camped out at Totterdown and I stayed with my wife and sister at her tourer in Cheltenham, wasn't the best as was still quite ill, but glad I went.
I do feel like I am getting stronger each day , went to bath last week to celebrate my 30th wedding anniversary and took a hobby boss 1/48 A10 N/AW kit with me, so spent some time building some sub assemblies, gonna need some filler in places, not quite a Tamiya shake and bake kit. Treated myself to a new H&S Ultra 2024 airbrush, so hopefully I can use it in anger this week.
Nice to hear from you Steve.Envious of you going to Fairford.Miss my Alconbury and Mildenhall airshow days in the 1990s.Plus Lakenheath watching 111s.One day maybe visiting Fairford.
All the best from Richard
Apart from a longer than expected recovery time from the chemo all seems to be going well. Glad you're getting out and about and doing some modelling. The positive attitude will help.
Little steps Steve. Heading in the right direction. Like Richard, envious of your trip to Fairford!! My last RIAT was 86 with - wait for it!!! A Wasp! Static right next to a SR71!!
Hopefully, you'll enjoy the Ultra, One needle - multiple functions. From wide spray to fine - just magic.
Every day is a step forwards.
Glad things are progressing in the right direction Steve.
Nice to see you have interest in getting a new AB , that says a lot .:thumb2::thumb2::thumb2:
Good to hear from you Steve, and great to hear about the, (albeit slower than expected), recovery .
Looking forward to seeing you post again
All the best
Neil
