    Greetings from the South Atlantic!

On the way to South Georgia on the expedition ship Silversea Wind. Met up with my son, who is the ships expedition photographer and the sea is rather choppy!

Not much to see at the moment but sea. I have, however, met an ex-USN aviator, flew F4’s and several other interesting people. Less than 200 guests on this ship of all ages.

So no posts or progress on the Border Lanc for a while.

Seen an Albatross yet? We used to see them regularly in the South Atlantic - you could watch them for hours and never see them flap their wings!

My younger son who is in charge of photography. Not what you usually get on a normal cruise, not ripping you off taking photos of you to sell you, no. His job is to help passengers with their own photography, he was briefing people yesterday on how to get better landscapes and wildlife photos. He takes after me in many ways, his public speaking is very good and has a way with people.

I might be able to get some photos of S G tomorrow to post, I hope. My problem is that I am still suffering from sciatica brought on by the 30 hour journey here. I cannot stand without groin pain or bend my knee, getting in to zodiacs will risk further damage setting back recovery. Fingers crossed.

Tell the truth - you were down at the Spur, admiring the collection of rubber boats and outboards when you were scooped up and got deported.....
Enjoy the voyage and the company....

I hope your sciatica improves. It would be such a shame if it interfered with the trip.

Looks a good lad, unlike some of the ferral animals we have in my area.

Well at South Georgia. I opted out of a landing this morning because of ny sciatica. Got some good photos though.

                              Lots of penguins I see.
