    UC-18 & The Lady Olive; sunk 1917, found 2024

    In 1917 the Q ship The Lady Olive and and U-18 met and this littleknown action was the only action wherethe ship anc sub sank each other. All of the crew of the U-Boat died, while all of the crew of theLady olive survived.

    aftef 4 years searching for the wrecks, they have been found by a team of Guernsey divers. Here is a link to an on-line news report:

    this time it is to their website which gives more details about the project. They have produced a 60 minute documentary for the BBC (to be shown during june), this website includes a short trailer for the programme which is quite good with some WW1 film.
