I don’t remember offhand which exactly, but one of the last ones, in which Harry King with his waste-processing business features as a supporting character. Goblins will also feature in the book, most likely.Comment

Harry King, aka the Piss Harry and the King of the Golden River is a businessman in Ankh-Morpork. He is a large pink-faced man who is usually seen smoking a big cigar. He makes his living as a "night soil" removals man, his staff emptying the chamber pots of Ankh-Morpork for a fee. He also collects the rubbish from around the city and the river. He then sells the contents; saltpetre and ammonia to alchemists, urine and feces to tanners and farmers, lost valuables to the pawn brokers, etc. Since
….and if you look up king of the yellow river you get a great many Chinese references LOLComment

A plastic diver (small scale ) in a packet of breakfast cereal which you put in a bottle of water, seem to remember you put siechemical in it and it rose to the top.
Oh and people would speak to each other in the street. Police men that would give you a thick ear when you did something wrong and silly , and would say " tell you dad when you get in " You said nothing as you'd probably get another .Comment

I seem to remember divers/submarines with a little flexible tube attached that you'd suck on to sink and blow into to surface? Again, cornflakes packet freebies.
I also remember collecting cornflakes packet tokens to send off for a plastic bulk cargo ship, complete with little cranes, opening cargo hatches, and wheels so you could push it along on the carpet.Comment

A really obscure one, I can only remember them from Bridlington early 60's - ' Camphor Queen ' - a plastic liner, powered by little camphor tablets that were inserted in the stern ( worked by decreasing the surface tension at the stern ) - no doubt the tablets were toxic!
Dave
- I found this - very similar!
