adding jack plug to old futaba transmitter

    Hi all

I have an old futaba transmitter that runs on disposable batteries but it has a place in the side for a jack plug. I figured it would save a few quid to buy a rechargeable battery pack and install it in the unit and just charge via plugging in the jack plug to avoid having to take it out each time.

The trouble is I am not sure where to add the jack plug. I took it apart and there are red and black wires from the battery terminals to the on and off switch, so do I just add the jack plug between these two?? I do remember the old manual had what to do, but I can’t find it anywhere.

Any info or pointers where to find info on this would be much appreciated.

If both wires go to the switch, then putting the plug across them should be ok, just ensure you get it 'inserted' into the feed side, not the switched side.

You will need to ensure the switch is in the "off" position before charging otherwise you could damage the board.
