      Bob,
sending you and your family our deepest condolences at this difficult time. I went through the same with my mum who also succumbed to vascular dementia. It is although not a nice thing to say it is a relief for everyone when they are at rest. Take care my friend.

Thanks Paul, it is a nice thing to say, it's a huge relief. Too see mum steady getting worse and knowing that nothing could be done was horrifying.

Thank you Pete, I totally agree.

Just registered mum's death, emotional but thankfully quick.

She was very good, I was useless so the lady filled out a form I think called ' let everyone know at once' ??

This is then sent to DWP, blue badge, local council ref council tax, etc. So they stop the pension etc. apparently it helps the probate run a lot smoother

                    Impressed to be fair

We did that recently when Zoë's father passed.

Very good really, and helpful during these times when you struggle to think straight.

Agreed, the ”tell us once” scheme is useful. It isn’t perfect, but then what is. I did this on line a few days after we had registered my mothers death. To be honest, with a couple of exceptions, most of the services I contacted to inform them were excellent.
