    Total eclipse

We were fortunate enough to be directly in the path of the total eclipse. I couldn't get a real photo of the event but I did get one of my wife and I enjoying it in our back yard. I must say it is such an amazing event, the temperature drops a lot and the stars come out for about 2 minutes in our location.

Brilliant……glad you enjoyed it John. We had a near total in England some years ago (I think it was only total in Cornwall). It really is weird, even the wind direction changed momentarily as the area under the eclipse cooled. We were lucky as well. It was cloudy all day, but cleared for the few minutes of the eclipse. The strange thing was that I organised work schedules so all my guys could go out and watch it, and one of them stayed at work because he didn’t think it was that special……

I think this was my third, but the best as clear weather all the way through. A bat came out shortly during totality, seemingly confused.

Saw the previous one Tim mentioned whilst in Devon. The thing that got me was the dogs barking when it suddenly went dark .
Of course today in Linc's we were out of luck .
Great photos from Lee Drennen :thumb2:

I remember the last one in the UK - 1999 I think. We closed the office for about an hour so everybody could enjoy it.
