Thanks for the nice words, Was worried about posting the photo, Yes Flounder still got all my green in the attic packed in 3 ara bags and 2 Burgans.

After the photo putting the carp back Tessa was in the lake waiting and chased it back into deep water, even putting her head under water jus one of her tricks and scares SWMBO to death.

This is her usual position watchin the buzzers and swingers, Don't need an extension box cos she goes beserk when the alarms go off

                .

                Cheers Martin

This is my favoite pic of tessa.

Lovely picture Martin. Typical of a dog. Nice framing & great scene with the mist just over the water in the background. Nice crisp reeds in the foreground with the rod. Great mix of landscape & foreground. I like that not surprised it is your favourite.

Are you a pro photographer Martin ?

seeing this has really stuck the knife in my side. I so want to get out and catch me some carp again. Been almost two years, since the last time.

I'm hoping for a good summer so my old and worn out joints can handle it.

I used to take my lab's with me in England, Just keeping them out of the water and the bait bucket a was a challenge!

Thanks again for the lovely words, no not a pro photographer this pic was taken with a sony eric phone 5mp camera, first photo was taken on my new SE experia ray 10mp phone camera.

Get out and do it Ian, I fished in denmark twice as a kid 13 i think 1st time in Copenhagen and next my uncles mate a crazy taxi driver called jacob took me sea fishing between Denmark and Sweden, lots of big cod and beer, never been as sick since.

I remember in the taxi Jacob telling me dirty story's and traveling north over a hundred mph when i saw this Tri star about to land right in front of us,Then just as suddenly we dissapeared under the run way, Jacob thought this was hillarious.

                        Cheers all

Used to take my springer fishing when i was back in England, similar things happened ... they just love it don't they

Deefer the Springer stayed with my Daughter when i moved, unfortunately i can't go fishing with the dog we have up here coz he just wants to eat everything that comes within 30 feet

It's really only fly fishing and sea fishing up here in the land of Alba and i really do miss the big carp ... but i'll cope with it

Visited Brother & Sister in Law in Sale, Manchester, some years ago.

Brother in Law had a dog half breed of this & that. Mostly Labrador. Good jumper runner swimmer obeyed every command except those Brother in Law gave it. Obviously had a sense of humour.

B in L, lets go for a walk. Children dog & Brothers in Law. Tatton Park 50 acres of it. But B in L must go by the lake side. Beautiful day sun is shining. But then it all went wrong.

First day, first day of the fresh water fishing season. Rods every where. The dog is pulling on the lead excited. In a rash moment he lets it off the lead, fatal mistake. The doge races greyhound style 30 yds to the lake edge which is a high bank. To late the dog realises it is committed & leaps high in the air & lands with the biggest belly flop ever seen causing a mighty splash with waves wizzing every where. Worse he then proceeds to enjoy the experience & swim among the rod lines.

Brother in Law takes off at F1 walking speed (sort of a walking running gaite) to the nearest pub. Leaving total chaos.

What an absolutely cracking shot of the dog. I do like pictures that are imaginative and creative and this one has it in spades. Even without seeing the dog's face you can feel the intensity of the stare.
